Enhancements to the OBSI Firm Portal

OBSI is pleased to announce new updates to the Firm Portal to improve transparency around investigation timelines and firm delays.

To provide clearer information about delays attributable to firms, two new fields have been added to the portal.

  • Firm Delay Days shows the total number of days tracked in an investigation. OBSI tracks delay days when we are not able to progress an investigation because a firm has not provided requested case information or has not participated in our investigative process within standard timeframes. This information is now visible in both Active and Closed Investigation pages, including the list views and individual case detail pages.

  • Active Delay Days indicates whether an investigation currently has an active firm delay. This field appears on the Active Investigations list and the Active Investigation Details page, allowing firms to quickly see when a delay is ongoing.

What this means for firms

These enhancements give firms easier access to timely, relevant information within the portal. The new delay fields provide greater visibility into how firm-related delays affect the progress of investigations, supporting better internal tracking and follow-up.

Overall, these changes are intended to support more efficient case management and clearer communication throughout the investigation lifecycle.

These changes also build on previous portal enhancements announced last year, which included document upload improvements, additional information in the cases list, and new case statistics.
