OBSI’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce two recent appointments to the board and one to the Consumer and Investor Advisory Council (CIAC):

  • Suresh Krishnasamy has joined the board as the Canadian Bankers Association (CBA) nominee. He is the Chief Operating Officer, North American Personal and Business Banking for BMO Financial Group. Mr. Krishnasamy joined BMO in 2006 from McKinsey and Company. He has since held executive leadership roles in strategy, finance, and operating groups.

  • Alexandra Williams has joined the board as the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) nominee. She is the Senior Vice President, Head of Service, Operations and Compliance for Aviso Wealth. Ms. Williams is a senior financial services executive with over 25 years of experience. Her most recent roles include Chief Risk Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Aviso Wealth and its predecessor firm, Qtrade Securities.

  • Michel Mailloux has joined the CIAC as a member of the council. He is a practitioner and trainer in the financial field. Mr. Mailloux heads the Collège des professions financières. He holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Montréal and was one of the founders of the Institut québécois de planification financières and president for three terms. He is also an expert in the field of ethics in the financial sector.

The Board of Directors would like to express its sincere thanks to Norah McCarthy, the previous CBA nominee, and Scott Stennett, the previous IIROC nominee, who have both recently retired from the board, for their contributions, insights and commitment to OBSI throughout their many years of service.

More information about the Board of Directors is available on the OBSI website here and about the CIAC members here.
