Financial Services OmbudsNetwork (FSON)

The Ombudsman for Banking Services and Investments, or OBSI, is one of three independent, industry-specific complaint-handling services that make up the Financial Services OmbudsNetwork (FSON).

• The OmbudService for Life and Health Insurance (OLHI), which provides services to clients with complaints related to life and health insurance companies.


• The General Insurance OmbudService (GIO) which handles complaints for customers of property and casualty insurance companies, including home, auto and business insurance.

Each of the three Ombudservices has an independent board of directors to ensure it remains arms-length from the financial services industry and each publishes an annual report on its activities.
